Here we are, the marathon less than a week away, and I'm NOT READY. My injuries have not healed 100%, and my training has been extremely spotty in the past month. Also, the forecast calls for weather in the 70s-80s AND thunderstorms. I'm in for a world of hurt.
What I am looking forward to is the food and the bourbons! Believe me, I will be drinking plenty of it to deal with the pain after the race. If I get through it that is. Afterwards, I'm going to have to really think about whether or not I can continue doing this, or if I need to make some changes in my training, in my shoes, etc. Wish me luck!
