With Huntsville, AL in the rearview, I've got my sights set on the Derby Festiival Marathon in Louisville, KY. Kentucky is the birth place of bourbon, the mint julep, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and home to the Kentucky Derby. While technically a southern state, Louisville is at the top of the state straddling the good old Midwest. With Indiana being just a few miles away, I'll get a second chance at finding the coveted Zombie Dust by 3 Floyd's Brewery. 

With the election just in the rear view mirror, I admit I was a little apprehensive to visit Alabama. I've been to the south before and have had no issues so far.  This election cycle seems to have changed the landscape of America for brown people (et al) like me.  It turns out I really had nothing to worry about.  The majority of my encounters were all positive, and the few crazies were no different than what I would see at home.
